Step 1: Sorting
Upon receiving the onions, they are carefully placed on a shady spot in order to recover from their journey. An inspection is then carried out by our quality team. They are responsible in eliminating the damaged, diseased and ugly onions. Wilted onions are also removed.
Step 2: Drying
The onions are then placed in storage funnels. These isothermal truck trailers ensure optimum drying before the product can be admitted to the cold storage unit.
Step 3: Storage
After this we place the onions in specially treated wooden crates. Wilting is prevented by keeping our product at a temperature between 8 and 10 degrees.
Our cold storage units are equipped with the latest technology that is innovative and intelligent. The temperature, humidity and CO2 can be regulated from a distance via internet. We can also install the ventilation system, the shutters and cooling automatically.
